Welcome to Dragon's Spine

Welcome to Dragon's Spine - An IoK/LoK Emulator Project

There are several ways to connect to Dragon's Spine. The simplest way is to use a telnet client. Most operating systems come with a telnet client. To use Microsoft Windows' telnet client click Start -> Run, type telnet, and click OK.

At the telnet prompt type open www.dragonsspine.com 3000. Once you are connected follow the instructions to create an account and your first character.

Spinel is a client that was written by a fellow IoK'er and Dragon's Spine tester. The client has graphics, text buffering, macros, and the ability to record and review replays. Visit the Downloads section to download the Spinel Installer and latest update. More information about Spinel is available at the Spinel Yahoo Group. There is also a third, official client being written that will be available by summer.

Good hunting!

Dragon's Spine All good things...
Posted by dw..sea on Friday, July 16, 2010 (14:52:24) (11 reads)

Its with mixed emotions that I make this post, however all good things must come to an end. Being as I do not have the time required to fully support this project any more I have decided to bring things to a close.

Unless someone wants to step up and take over, The DragonsSpine project will shutdown on Saturday August 14th 2010.

It has been a fun 10 years running and working on this project. It has been a great learning opportunity for me as well.

If someone should step and want to take over, I will provide them with all the current copies of the game/code in it's current state. I will transfer the domain name ownership over to that person as well. That person would need to provide a server and all other back end portions in which to run the game/project.

I would not provide any hardware or licensing for the MS SQL back end, however I could assist with setup should help be needed.

Thanks for the fun over the years, I hope someone wants to keep it going...

Dragon's Spine Small Update
Posted by dw..sea on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 (22:25:37) (859 reads)

This is a just a small update to say that we are still alive and slowly working on the full rewrite of the server engine. I'll try to keep this update as progress is made.
